Wednesday Food: Brussels Sprouts

I am not usually the type inspired to attempt a meal from a cookbook or The Food Network.  Going to the grocery store doesn't light my fire like some, and I would never scour the web for seasonal recipe's - it's just not me.  But I do love to eat, and I induldge in food that is good fuel for my body and my loved ones.  I have many projects in the works since I started this blog, so I thought I would take time this week to share a quick inspiration that isn't from a usual place.

As my other personality type friends are busy in the kitchen, I find my greatest pleasure in dinner prep to be the plating of the meal.  In the same way fashion can achieve a positive self-image, to eat food that is as good to look at as it is to eat - is just so stylish!  This is a regular Wednesday night in, but I still take time to add color to every meal.  The Jonathan Adler linen napkins added the extra color to the plate, that pushed me to pick up the camera before we dug in - Look at all that color!


Brussels Sprouts are my absolute favorite vegetable, (sorry cauliflower & broccoli), and I have been buying them on a weekly basis from our new grocery option, The PSFC.  You can not beat the price per/lb, and they are always fresh & delicious!

Also on the dish: veggie dogs in a whole wheat bun with sauteed onions and roasted red peppers.  And I never forget, a touch of black truffle oil drizzled on top of the greens, YUMMY!
