End of the Year Milestone...10K Page Views!

Being the analog girl I am, I have been slowly finding my way around the interface of the blogger website.  When it comes to technology, I hate reading instructions, or following a How-To book.  I'm much more comfortable finding my own way around.  The stats section is where I have been spending my time lately.  While watching the ticker as it clicked toward 10,000 pageviews, I couldn't be more proud!  I know you are all out there, and it's easy to forget when I'm busy with other things in life.  I have to keep my audience captivated, or I risk losing their attention.  Adding Baby Stella as a contributor has definitely helped relieve some of that pressure.  And of course, it has made the whole experience so much more fun!

According to blogger's statistics, my highest traffic month was in August, mostly due to the NYTimes post at the end of July.  August had some great highlights; I was featured on a tumblr blog called Fuck Yeah, Tattoos!, I wrote one of my favorite design posts to date: Coloring-Out Your Library!, and Ronnie and I were settling into our first apartment together.  The month of my birth was also when I started to push StellaBella on other websites, and try to get traffic to the original blog from different angles (Twitter, tumblr, Google+, Foursquare, Pinterest and About Me).

My other "stat watch" was a war between two recent posts.  I was proud to see that Kim Taylor's Part 2 Interview Post beat out the Part 1 of my Shade Store post by 20 page views, between October and November.  This victory was extra sweet since she has recently taken a new position at Metropolis Magazine as their Director of Marketing - Congratulations again Kim!

2011 has been a great year, and I am so excited to see the momentum of the blog picking up as we continue to tell our stories and grow.  Ronnie and I have also founded a female networking group this year, focused on social media and business development named HatcheryNYC.   There will be a brand new website, and much more information about this exciting endeavour in the coming months, so stay tuned!  We have alot of ideas for 2012, and I can't wait to share them.   Thank you to all of my readers and followers, I plan on the next 10,000 page views being even better!
